It’s time to celebrate the new year in style, with 2022 kicking off with some show-stopping musical performances to watch at home for those staying in.
The Big New Year’s Eve Party will sandwich the new year with fun both before and after the midnight gong, with the proceedings being led by Years and Years singer Olly Alexander.
However Olly won’t be alone, as he’s welcoming some special guests to join him on stage.
So who’s going to be a part of the The Big New Years & Years Eve Party and how can you watch it?

Who is performing at The Big NYE party?
For the party that Olly is throwing for New Year’s Eve, the It’s A Sin star is going to start the night performing several of his biggest hits and some covers that fans may not be expecting.
He’ll also be joined by pop star Kylie Minogue for a fabulous duet to see in the new year.
After midnight has been and gone, the second part of The Big New Years & Years Eve Party will see Olly return to sing more of his most popular tunes.
He’ll also welcome Pet Shop Boys onto the stage, as they all deliver an 80s classic to the masses.
Olly celebrated the programme in a post on social media, writing: ‘I can’t believe this is really happening but TONIGHT I’ll be bringing in the new year on @bbcone.’
He continued: ‘You can expect not-at-all camp performances of old songs, new songs from my upcoming album Night Call, multiple scandalous outfits, choreography and many more surprises!! I’m excited!! Here we gooooo!!’
When is it on BBC One?
The Big New Years & Years Eve Party has been split into two parts, first before the midnight fireworks celebration and then afterwards.
The first part of the programme begins at 11.25pm on BBC One, airing for 35 minutes.
There’ll be a pause on the show for 10 minutes so that people across the nation can enjoy the festivities as Big Ben chimes in the new year.
Then at 10 past midnight, The Big New Years & Years Eve Party will continue for a further 25 minutes.
When the party has ended, the film I Give It A Year will air on BBC One at 20 to one.
