Ronnie Ortiz-Magro rocketed to fame a decade ago as a cast member of MTV’s hit reality show Jersey Shore. He’s been in the spotlight ever since, appearing on all six seasons of the original show as well as the reunion spinoff Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. But has his television career made him a wealthy man? Let’s find out.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has a net worth of $3 million

Ortiz-Magro has an estimated net worth of $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The Bronx-born reality star earned between $80,000 and $100,000 per episode of Jersey Shore, Marketwatch reported. But he didn’t get that salary until later in the show’s run.

During the first season of Jersey Shore, Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Vinny Guadagnino and the rest of the cast earned nothing except the wages they took home from the Shore Store, according to Insider. By the second season, they’d negotiated $10,000 per episode, a rate that apparently climbed as the show went on. Even accounting for the relatively low salaries early on, it seems likely that Ortiz-Magro made millions from appearing on the series.

The money he made was enough for him to afford a home in Las Vegas, which he purchased in 2017 for $725,000. In January 2020, Ortiz-Magro listed the property, which he shared with ex Jen Harley, for $869,000, TMZ reported. The four-bedroom home in a gated community appears to still be on the market.

What did he do after ‘Jersey Shore’?

After Jersey Shore ended in 2012, Ortiz-Magro appeared on Famously Single Season 2, Celebrity Fear Factor, and several episodes of the Jersey Shore spinoff Snooki & Jwoww. In 2018, he and the rest of his fist-pumping Jersey Shore housemates reunited for Jersey Shore: Family Reunion. The third season of that show is currently airing on MTV.

Ortiz-Magro also ended his on-again, off-again relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. He began dating Harley, who gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Ariana Sky, in 2018. But that relationship was rocky and marked by allegations of abuse from both parties. In May 2020, he reached plea deal in a domestic violence case stemming from an October 2019 incident with Harley.

In early 2019, he entered a treatment facility to get help for problems related to depression and alcohol abuse, Us Weekly reported. “[A]ll the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places I didn’t want to be,” he told the magazine, adding that he wanted to be a role model for his child. These days, his social media is dominated by posts promoting Jersey Shore or of him spending time with his two-year-old daughter.

What are the other ‘Jersey Shore’ cast members worth?

Ortiz-Magro’s net worth is in line with that of most of the rest of the Jersey Shore cast.

Snooki, despite earning $150,000 an episode at the height of Jersey Shore’s popularity, has an estimated net worth of the $4 million. Most of the rest of the crew also have net worths in the low seven figures. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is worth less. His legal troubles and stint in prison for tax fraud mean he’s only worth an estimated $300,000.

The exception is Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio. He is reportedly worth $20 million. That’s largely thanks to his successful career as a DJ. He also appears on the MTV show A Double Shot at Love With DJ Pauly D and Vinny.
