The 2022 Toyota Tundra has finally been revealed, and it’s pretty nice. In addition to having a more modern look and an upgraded engine, the 2022 Toyota Tundra will be able to tow 12,000 pounds with a max payload capacity of 1,940. So how much does a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Tundra cost?

How much does a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Tundra cost?

Toyota says that the pricing isn’t official yet, and it will be announced later on, closer to the actual release of the 2022 Toyota Tundra. However, it’s worth noting that the 2021 Toyota Tundra starts at $38,420. This is likely not far off from the base price of a 2022 Toyota Tundra. Car and Driver speculates that the 2022 Toyota Tundra will start at around $36,000.

So how about a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Tundra? Car and Driver continues its cost estimation up the line of Tundras. There’s a good chance that the Tundra Limited will cost $45,000. The TRD Pro may come in at about $51,000. And the top-of-the line 2022 Toyota Tundra, the 1794 Edition, will likely come in at around $52,000.

For this money, you’ll also get a panoramic roof, heated – and ventilated – seats, and a heated steering wheel. Toyota also says that the 2022 Toyota Tundra will have the newest automotive technology. New Tundras will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as over-the-air updates.

What kind of gas mileage will the 2022 Toyota Tundra get?

The 2022 Toyota Tundra will come with one of two engines. The base engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. There’s also a 3.5-liter full-hybrid powertrain with 6 cylinders and 437-hp.

What does this mean for fuel economy? It’s difficult to say. Toyota is keeping quiet about some of these important details until closer to the release date. That doesn’t mean that we can’t try to piece together what’s likely coming.

The 2021 Toyota Tundra gets a very low 13 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway. This should improve with the 2022 Toyota Tundra’s V6 engine instead of the 2021 Tundra’s V8. Additionally, Toyota is revamping the suspension system in the 2022 Toyota Tundra, which should make the ride better and potentially improve the fuel economy.

Of course, the 2022 Toyota Tundra hybrid pickup truck should get far more mileage than the 2021 Tundra or even the conventional 2022 Toyota Tundra. How much better remains to be seen.

Is a 2022 Toyota Tundra worth buying?

If you’ve always loved the Toyota Tundra, you’re probably going to also love the 2022 Toyota Tundra. With its more powerful engine and enhanced interior, it’s going to be a very nice truck. Plus, the hybrid option will be a powerful and fuel-efficient alternative to a traditional pickup truck, which may make it appealing to a wider audience.

In addition to the nice interior and more efficient engine, the 2022 Toyota Tundra should have a host of driving assistance systems, which will allow the Tundra to be safer. Some of these include forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. These make the 2022 Toyota Tundra a much more attractive pickup truck.

Although we’ll have to wait for exact figures from Toyota, the 2022 Toyota Tundra is shaping up to be a great pickup truck. With its new, more powerful engine and enhanced technology, the 2022 Toyota Tundra should sell very well.
