Customization

The first thing we will talk about is the customization options. The customization menu is, admittedly, confusing at first. There are so many options, and it can be overwhelming! But, play around and explore the controls, and suffix. Sometimes when a kittypet or rogue joins a clan, they keep their old name. Names often have meaning, so take that into account while making a name. Now, for the bio. Have at least one positive trait and one negative trait to balance things out. Now, your whole character is finished!

Roleplays

Many roleplays are done in clans. These are called "Clan Roleplays". However there are also people who roleplay as Loners, or Rouges. There are also "Kitty Pets" Which often is used for less serious roleplays. Often just talking, or roleplaying as if it is modern human life. Just with cats in a house. Kitty Pets often do not interact with clan cats and simply do their own roleplay.

There are many roles to fill in these roleplays, including:

Kits, warrior apprentices, medicine cat apprentices, warriors, medicine cats, queens, elders, deputies, and leaders.

Kit roles are usually infinite as long as there are queens. For warrior apprentice role, you need one cat for each apprentice. There can only be one medicine cat, unless the medicine cat apprentice becomes a full medicine cat. There can also only be one medicine cat apprentice. Elders and queens are infinite. There can only be one deputy and only one leader.

You can also be a kittypet, rogue, or a loner.

When roleplaying as a kit, remember that they are weak and cannot fight or hunt. When roleplaying as an apprentice, remember that they don’t know everything about hunting and fighting yet, or in the case of a medicine cat apprentice, don’t know everything about healing, herbs, and having dreams of StarClan. When roleplaying as a warrior, please roleplay hunting/patrolling. It gets boring staying in camp the whole time. When roleplaying as a medicine cat, please roleplay herb gathering. Again, it gets boring staying in camp the whole time. When roleplaying as a queen, remember that they don’t do their normal warrior duties. When roleplaying as a deputy, try organizing cats to hunt, patrol, and sometimes, gather herbs. When roleplaying as a leader, there are so many possibilities. Try being an evil leader! You can do some evil things, like making kits apprentices early(like Brokenstar), creating conflict with other clans(if there’s other clans in the server), or any other evil thing. I once heard of someone who forced apprentices to fight their mentors to become a warrior! Another thing you can do is organize a Gathering(if there’s at least one other Clan in the server). You can punish cats for rule-breaking.

Specs

If you’re a queen, and there’s a spec, maybe you could ask them to be your kit! Sometimes they just want to watch, and that’s fine! Specs are also sometimes available for you to ask from their current morph.
