It’s official: Two of Clayton’s final three women will start their own search for love in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia will both star together in the upcoming Season 19, ABC has announced. The news was revealed during Tuesday’s season finale of The Bachelor, which saw Clayton break up with Gabby and Rachel on his way to pursue Susie, who he offered his final rose. Susie initially rejected him, but they revealed they patched things up and are dating now on the live aftershow. (Click here for our full finale recap.)
We also got a premiere date for The Bachelorette‘s return: Gabby and Rachel’s season will kick off on Monday, July 11 at 8/7c. Jesse Palmer will return as host. “Do we date the same guys?” Gabby asked during the live show, and Jesse wouldn’t offer any details, so we’ll have to wait to find out what format this season will take.
Last season on The Bachelorette, Michelle Young handed her final rose to Nayte in the December finale; the two are still engaged, but no wedding date has been set. Things didn’t end as sweetly for previous Bachelorette Katie Thurston: She had an ugly breakup with suitor Greg and accepted a proposal from Blake in last August’s finale, but the two broke up just a couple of months later.
Why can’t The Bachelorette have a female hosts? Even if they didn’t want Kaitlyn or Taisha back. The misogyny of this franchise. The female leads should have a female host to lean on.
WAH, WAH ,WAH, CRY ME a RIVER
+1
Can’t wait for the “this is so hard and emotional. I’m can completely see how Clayton got so carried away in this process” conversation. Come on, you know it’s coming 😂😂
This will be fun when they both love the same man…again.
They really shouldn’t have put the two girls on one show. I mean what happens if they both fall for the same guy. Rachel is a bit too naive when it comes to love and Gabby well she’s a little annoying. I thought Teddi would have made a better next Bachelorette she’s sensible, knows what she is looking for and is not afraid to speak her mind.
Gabby told it like it is!!!! Gabby is a bright and smart young lady!!
I think this is what they are counting on. They love the mess. This finale was everything producers could dream of.
I, too, was hoping for Teddi. But clearly the franchise needs to shake things up a little and do something different to attract eyeballs. So, the added twist of two Bachelorettes for the full season.
This one was set up nicely with two girls “jilted” at the end and deserving of a better fate.
With a July start date, does that mean no Paradise this summer??
I was hoping for those two to be dual Bachelorettes but I didn’t think it would actually happen!!! And I love that it will be for the duration. I think having the same men to chose from and alternating every other rose at the rose ceremony. I think that the two women are different enough that their taste in men will differ enough that they’ll be happy. Living together will be “girlfriend night” every night. It won’t be as lonely for them. Much better ABC! Good job!
So, that’s how the producers got these girls to stick around for more humiliating and embarrassing moments with Clayton? This all seems too convenient and entirely scripted.
It worked for Joe Millionaire: For Richer Or Poorer
Regarding having 2 Bachelorett’s … Gabby & Rachel … I don’t know how they plan to do that but … I don’t think it is a good idea!
Hopefully, they (the producer’s & writer’s) can pull this off. It seems like it might be too confusing. I prefer to just focus one 1 Bachelorette or Bachelor at a time. I think the ladies might be competing for attention.
Who knows….eh?
💜💜💜💜
I TOTALLY agree with you!!! Not 2 Bachelorett’s …. I don’t think that’s going to work.
😊
You are absolutely RIGHT!!!
