Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia had a rough time at the end of Clayton Echard’s Bachelor season. After he told them he was in love with all of his final three contestants following Susie Evans’ departure, he convinced them both to stay and meet his family... only to send each of them home a few days later to pursue Susie. All that heartbreak is behind Gabby and Rachel now, though, as The Bachelorette Season 19 will see them step into the lead role together.

The “After The Final Rose” segment of Clayton’s Bachelor finale gave Gabby and Rachel the opportunity to speak their minds after their devastating group breakup with Clayton. Both Gabby and Rachel said they’re totally over Clayton and ready to move on, and now they’re going to do so side by side. After they were announced as the joint Season 19 Bachelorettes, Jesse Palmer said that “at the end of the day, watching you both support each other” helped the show’s producers decide to send them on the journey to find love together.

It looks like Bachelor Nation is in for a season that celebrates romantic love and female friendship, which honestly kind of sounds like a dream come true... as long as they don’t fall for the same guy again.

Here’s everything you need to know about Season 19 of The Bachelorette.

Gabby & Rachel's Bachelorette Season 19 Updates

ABC/Craig Sjodin

Even Jesse isn’t entirely sure how this upcoming season of The Bachelorette will work. The Bachelorette has never before had two leads at the same time. There was the time in 2015 when the contestants voted for either Kaitlyn Bristowe or Britt Nilsson as their Bachelorette, and Kaitlyn won. But hopefully this time around, Gabby and Rachel won’t be pitted against each other and instead, they’ll each get to have a happy ending to their love stories.
