Season 1 is the first season of Netflix's Ginny & Georgia. It consists of ten episodes. It debuted with “Pilot” and concluded with “The Biggest Betrayal Since Jordyn and Kylie” on February 24, 2021 on Netflix. Ginny & Georgia takes place in 2020.

The season was watched by more than 52 million subscribers Netflix reported on April 19, 2021. It made the Top 10 list in 87 countries around the world and hit #1 in 46, including Australia, Brazil, Kenya and the U.S.[1]

Synopsis

Free-spirited Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, move north in search of a fresh start but find that the road to new beginnings can be bumpy.

    • It stayed in that sport for one more day, but then by Feb. 27, 2021, it jumped to the No. 1 spot, which as of March 4th, 2021 it has remained in the top spot at least in the USA.[3]
  • On March 1st, 2021, Taylor Swift took to social media to call out the show, in what she called a "deeply sexist joke that was made about her.[4]
    • The sexist joke took place in The Worst Betrayal Since Jordyn and Kylie, the show's 10th episode and also the season finale, where teen daughter Ginny Miller says to her mother, Georgia, "What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift."[4]
  • On April 19, 2021, it was announced that the show had been renewed for a second second due to premiere at a later time.[5]
