As President Joe Biden delivers his very first State of the Union tonight, there are plenty of concerns the nation is eager to hear him address. While last year’s joint address to Congress honed in on the pandemic concerns at hand, tonight’s talk is set to focus more on the Russian invasion of Ukraine as it continues to unfold in Eastern Europe.
Tonight, Biden is set to talk about a number of different topics ranging from rising inflation to pandemic fatigue. The President is expected to address relaxing restrictions and mandates across the country, as well as the Omicron variant a few months after its major surge. On the international front, Biden will discuss continued sanctions against Russia as they continue to wage war against Ukraine. Finally, the president is expected to talk more about Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, his selection to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
