Wordle is back again today with another head scratcher of a puzzle word. Players from all over the English-speaking world will converge on the New York Times Games website to guess the word of the day, and it might be a big challenge that makes players need a few hints.
How To Play Wordle
In order to play Wordle, head to the NYTs Games. This is where the original game has been hosted since the New York Times purchased Wordle back in February. Once at the website, word game fans will be able to play once a day. Here's how to do it:
- Choose a starting Wordle word. Players will most likely want to choose something with the more common letters that have been found in Wordle puzzles.
- Type it into the site and press enter.
- The letters will change color.
- Green letters are right, and gray letters are wrong. Yellow letters are correct but in the wrong place in the word.
- Given these hints, players have just six total guesses to get to the correct answer.
- Wordle words can contain duplicate letters as in the word VIVID, and are most likely to be the Americanized version of words. For example: FIBER instead of FIBRE.
- The New York Times has also censored several words from Wordle, including some racial slurs and other potentially offensive five-letter English terms.
- Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
- After the puzzle is complete, players will get access to the Wordle menu which will contain their stats and the spoiler-free share button.
