Jada Pinkett-Smith in Glenn Spiro earrings at Oscars 2022

Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith wore a pair of earrings in titanium and diamonds, and an emerald ring, both from G by Glenn Spiro, at the Oscars 2022 last night. Her look was completed with a spring/summer 2022 couture gown by Glenn Martens for Jean Paul Gaultier and Jimmy Choo shoes.

The floral-shaped earrings made for a striking contrast to the dress which featured ruched and gathered ruffles in green with a full train-like skirt. While the emerald ring made for an ideal green-and-green accompaniment. The jewellery designer is known for his commitment to precious stones and special bespoke designs.

“G never loans their pieces, however there are exceptions to every rule, and Jada is well worth the exception,” the designer told us. He was involved in the process, from selection through to how to wear them.

He explains that the earrings were from the Autumn Leaf Collection, which “is a highly sought after Collection made in coloured titanium along with number of different gemstones from sapphires, rubies, emeralds to cognac diamonds.” And each colour edition is limited to just 10 pieces.

The designer told us that he “truly has never seen anyone wear them as well as Jada did last night”.

Fashion Editor and stylist Georgia Medley posted the look on her Instagram page with the comment “Perfection” and “An all round win”.

G by Glenn Spiro is an internationally recognised fine jeweller with headquarters in London and Geneva. Spiro is noted for his innovative use of materials and interesting combinations, but at the same time, he is very well noted for having created an extremely private and exclusive label.

“We travel the world to find these wonderful gemstones, however most of our work is done for us by Mother Nature, we just try to put them in the right settings,” he has said in the past.

The night was not only about jewellery. Jada Pinkett-Smith also hit the headlines following an incident between Will Smith, her husband who scooped Best Actor for King Richard, and the comedian Chris Rock, which took place on stage at the Oscars last night. The awards presenter had made a joke about Pinkett-Smith and her shaven head – the actress has alopecia – and Will Smith seemed to slap Rock.
