What is reality television without the Kardashian-Jenner family? That’s a question we never want to learn the answer to and — although we had a brief scare about a year ago — it doesn’t seem like we’ll be faced with that predicament any time soon.

After a 20-season run of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on the E! Network, the Kar-Jenners announced their new show on Hulu, titled The Kardashians. The glossy revamp of the beloved original series premiered its first season on April 14, delivering 10 episodes full of all the juicy drama that went down in the lives of Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie in recent months. Kim hosted Saturday Night Live and opened up about the beginnings of her relationship with Pete Davidson — um, did anyone else catch that mid-credit scene in the finale!? — Kourtney and her now-husband (!) Travis Barker are trying for a baby, and by the final episode, Khloé discovered Tristan Thompson’s paternity scandal.

Season 2 of The Kardashians is definitely happening, as Hulu ordered 40 episodes of the reality series, per Variety. While we’re unsure if that means we’ll be getting four 10-episode installments, or fewer seasons with more episodes, we know for sure that more content is coming. So when will season 2 premiere? Here, we break down everything we know so far about season 2 of The Kardashians.

When will season 2 be released on Hulu?

The next installment of The Kardashians drops on Hulu on September 22. Episodes will drop weekly on the streaming service.

Are there any trailers for The Kardashians season 2?

Yes! The fam has blessed us more than once with inside looks into the new season, and the latest teaser addresses Tristan Thompson’s paternity scandal. “There is something that I’m ready to talk about,” Khloé says at the beginning of the clip. “It’s supposed to be a really exciting time, and it’s just a different experience,” she adds, as she reveals that she and Tristan are having another baby.

“It’s hard to watch her in pain,” Kris shares with tears in her eyes during a one-on-one interview. But through the hurt, Khloé is searching for the silver lining. “This has been a difficult time in my life, but it’s that start of something positive and happy and beautiful.”

We further dive into the sisters’ lives in earlier trailers, as Kendall explores new business opportunities, Kim celebrates her “season of independence,” and Kylie opens up about her post-partum struggles. Wedding prep continues for Kourt and Trav, as she tries on her wedding dress and the couple arrives in Italy for their seaside nuptials — and oop, Kris chimes in and says how happy she is for “Khloé and Travis.” Wrong sis, Kris!

Kim’s controversial comment from the fam’s Variety interview is covered (you know, this one), and Kris prepares for surgery. For a look into all of the upcoming storylines, check out the full trailer below.

On August 8, another trailer teased everything from a girls’ night out to Kravis’s romance. While some have criticized the couple’s PDA, the eldest sister reveals it hasn’t bothered her. “It’s such a beautiful thing to live as if no one is watching,” Kourtney says. Meanwhile, Kim and Khloé prove that they’re living their best lives, as they get ready for a “moms’ night out.” But it’s not all good times for the sisters, as Khloé discusses the family’s legal battle with Rob Kardashian’s ex, Blac Chyna.

The show first gave a glimpse of the new season on July 11, and highlighted so many major moments. Kylie is about to welcome her second child with Travis Scott, Kourt looks for a wedding dresses, and Kenny continues to walk high-fashion runways. While Tristan is not mentioned in this trailer, Khloé touches on how she still “believes in love.”

The clip hits a somber note in the end when it’s revealed that matriarch Kris Jenner has gone through a serious health scare. “I can’t tell my kids I’m scared,” she says. “They have enough problems. They don't need to worry about Mom.” Khloé and Kim also discuss the lawsuit filed against them by Blac Chyna, and their concern over the upcoming trial.

But perhaps the moment we've all been waiting for? PETE MAKES AN APPEARANCE (despite his split from Kim). See for yourself and check it out below.

What drama will unfold in season 2?

The season 1 finale chronicled the beginning of the Tristan Thompson paternity scandal, aka when it initially broke in the news and when the entire family found out. We’ll see more of this unravel in the second season, especially since Khloé and Tristan continue to co-parent their daughter, True.

ICYMI, Kourtney and Travis held three (!) wedding ceremonies over the past few months. During an appearance on the Crew Call podcast, executive producer Danielle King confirmed that the series will cover the lavish seaside affair in Italy, but said viewers “will have to tune in” to know how much of the ceremony was filmed.

Kylie also delivered her baby boy in February, and according to the trailer, it looks like we’ll see some footage surrounding the new addition to the fam.

As mentioned, we’ll also see some coverage surrounding the sisters and Kris’s trial with Blac Chyna. “She’s suing us for over $100 million, and we’re leaving our fate in the hands of 12 random people. What if they hate us?,” Khloé asks at one point.

Soooo will Pete Davidson be in season 2?

Hardly, it seems. Per the season 2 trailer, Pete makes an appearance on The Kardashians, but according to Page Six, he barely appears throughout the season.

“He’s in the background, but the reality world is not built for people like Pete,” a source close to the comedian told the outlet. “He was not on the first season. I don’t know how they’re doing the second season, but he's not a part of that world.”

FYI, Kim and Pete split in August after nine months together, and his cameo in the first season 2 teaser is brief. He’s shown after the Met Gala, as Kim’s dressed in her second Marilyn Monroe gown for the evening — a green sequin number that she wore to the after-party. Kim emerges from a hotel bedroom and asks, “Babe? Do you want to shower with me really quick?,” to which Pete hilariously tosses his phone on the ground and follows Kim back into the bedroom. The reality star also seems to reference her ex in the latest trailer, when she says, “Honey, I’m the Marilyn and the Jackie,” during Met Gala prep.

Pete was a major part of Kim’s life for a number of months, and although he was referenced several times, he not once appeared on-camera in the series’ first 10 episodes. Exec producer Danielle King emphasized that it was Pete’s decision to appear in the series or not.

“The show is about our core cast, it’s about this family. So if there are significant others, it’s really up to them,” she told Crew Call. “Kim never tried to persuade Pete. It’s always up to the significant other, or the peripheral person that they’re dealing with. If they want to join in on the fun, more power to them. We’re happy to cover that. But if they don’t, you know, Pete’s a high-profile person, he’s an actor. Kim has said before, that when the cameras are rolling for him, it means performance time. When the cameras are rolling for this family, it’s time to get real. So it’s a different muscle that they’ve worked and he’s worked.”

“But he’s legitimately part of Kim’s life, and so for those bigger moments, like when they went to the Met ball, obviously Pete was with her and he’s not like a crazy person, ‘Get the cameras away from me.’ He joins in,” she added. “Whether or not we have in-depth storylines with him, that’s entirely up to him.” 👀
