For anyone who bought so far in 2022..

How do you handle knowing that you paid more than everyone else in the neighborhood who bought prior to 2021?

We are about to go under contract for a beautiful home that I love. But my husband is suddenly wanting to back out because all the recent home sales in the neighborhood were 100k less than what we are paying, AND their houses are nicer.

I told him it’s just what buying in 2022 is. It makes him sick to his stomach though and I think we’ll probably pull out.

Anyway, I guess I’m just hoping to have some other perspectives from people in a similar situation.
