He is the host of one of Animal Planet’s most popular shows, Dr.Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet, which is now in its fifth season. When his favorite dog died when he was eight years old, he developed a love for animals and a desire for veterinary medicine.

After his personal dog died, he began rescuing injured animals and eventually adopted many of them as his own. His early passion for animals led him to study Veterinary Science at Colorado State University, where he graduated in 1989.

He got a position as an Animal Welfare Officer in Fort Collins, Colorado, shortly after finishing his education. Later, he discovered that some vets were solely interested in making money and were not concerned about the health of the animals.

As a result, he relocated to Denver and established Planned Pethood Plus, a veterinarian clinic. He put forth a lot of effort to open his clinic and provide low-cost pet health care.

He also set up mobile veterinary clinics and traveled across the country to provide low-cost animal care to those who couldn’t afford it. He became well-known in the community as a result of his ethical activities and a YouTube video on animal care. And the production company Double Act approached him with an offer for the show Mountain Vet, which he couldn’t refuse.

With an average of 1.3 million viewers, this show is Animal Planet’s most-watched series of 2017. After more than 25 years in the Highlands, Dr. Jeff relocated his clinic, Planned Pethood Plus, to Wheat Ridge, Colorado, due to increased popularity and increased patient traffic.
