First round, No. 22: LB Quay Walker, Georgia

Pick: First round, 22nd overall

Breakdown: Super athletic inside linebacker who is still only 21 years old after starting 15 games for Georgia’s historic defense in 2021. Ran 4.52 in the 40-yard dash at 6-3 and 241 pounds. Elite length, movement ability for the position. Played in 52 games at the collegiate level.

Fit: Likely Day 1 starter next to All-Pro De’Vondre Campbell at inside linebacker and a core special teams player.

Breakdown: Interior disruptor with excellent movement skills at over 300 pounds. Blazed through the 40-yard dash in 4.77 seconds with a 1.60-second 10-yard split. Could be an elite run defender with interior pass-rushing potential. Tallied 7.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks as a 14-game starter for Georgia’s all-star defense in 2021.

Fit: As a rookie, he’ll likely fit into a rotational up front alongside Kenny Clark, but his skill set is good enough to play all three downs. The Packers wanted a penetrator to add to the defensive line group.

Breakdown: Elite athlete at receiver with unique versatility as a pass-catcher, runner and returner. Ran 4.36 at 6-4 and 208 pounds. Returned two kickoffs for touchdowns. Averaged 20.4 yards per catch over college career. Finished with 801 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in a run-first offense at NDSU in 2021. Arguably the top speed/size receiver in the draft. Needs development as an all-around receiver but has No. 1 potential.

Fit: He’ll give the Packers a developmental receiver to build around and an immediate deep threat, gadget weapon and return option.

Fit: Rhyan should immediately challenge Royce Newman for the starting right guard job, or he’ll compete to be a top backup at offensive tackle.

Fit: Developmental wide receiver type with No. 2 upside and immediate value on special teams as a returner.

Breakdown: Highly versatile and athletic offensive lineman who started games at left tackle and center. Could be a five-position player at the next level. All-American at left tackle in 2021. A little undersized but has fantastic movement ability.

Fit: Lucas Patrick and Billy Turner replacement? Tom is a fantastic pass blocker who can probably survive at any of the five positions along the offensive line.

Breakdown: Big, powerful edge rusher with long arms, toughness and a disruptive playstyle. Led South Carolina in sacks (10.5) and tackles for loss (14.0) in 2020 and 2021. Not an elite athlete, lacks bend. First-team All-SEC in 2020. Team captain in 2021.

Fit: He’ll immediately compete for snaps as a backup edge rusher and rotational pass-rusher behind Rashan Gary and Preston Smith. Might have Za’Darius Smith-like traits. The Packers will hope he can develop into a starting-level player in time.
