How to Check SAT Scores Online

You can check your SAT scores by creating a College Board account. You may also opt to receive your report by phone.

The SAT score report indicates your total score out of a possible 1600, along with the percentile in which your score falls. The report also features your Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math section scores, as well as your individual test scores in Reading, Writing and Language, and Math.

Further down in the report, you'll find your cross-test scores and subscores. If you take the SAT multiple times, the document will provide your exam score report for each attempt.

How to Send SAT Scores to Colleges

On test day, you can indicate which colleges or universities you want to receive your SAT scores. The College Board aims to send scores to students' chosen schools within 10 days of the initial release date. Schools that ask applicants to submit their SAT scores typically require official score reports.

The process to send SAT scores to colleges may take a few extra days for students who take the SAT with an essay. Note that only certain students who take the exam through SAT School Day may take part in the essay option.
