The Easter holiday is approaching, the last Easter we’ve seen in nearly two decades.
In 2022, Good Friday falls on April 15, Easter follows on April 17, and the weekend ends with Easter on April 18.

USA: Are Post Offices Open on Good Friday?
In the United States, Good Friday is not a federal holiday, which means post offices are not obligated to close and will open as normal.
Federal holidays are calendar dates designated as holidays by the United States government. As a general rule of thumb, most institutions, such as banks, businesses, schools, and the stock market are usually closed.
Since Good Friday is not a federal holiday, your local post office will be open as usual. Easter is not a federal holiday either, so the same applies.

UK: Are Post Offices Open on Good Friday?
In the UK, different rules apply. Good Friday is seen as a bank holiday, which is equivalent to federal holidays in the USA.
This means that most institutions, including banks and schools, are all closed. Post offices will also be closed.
The Royal Mail revealed that there will be no “packages” on Good Friday or Easter at all, which means you can’t take packages to your local post office.
Post offices open on Saturday 16th April but opening hours may be reduced. Call your local branch or search online for specific opening hours on the Easter weekend.

Does mail work?
In the United States, mail will operate as usual on Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter. As always, there will be no mail delivery on Easter Sunday.
However, in the UK, the Royal Mail has revealed that there will be no mail delivery on Good Friday, Easter and Easter Sunday.
Mail will run on Saturday (April 16) as normal across the UK, but parcels may be delayed due to the Bank holiday on Good Friday.
