Bank Holiday poster pack for England and Wales (English language)

Bank Holiday poster pack for branches in Northern Ireland

Bank Holiday poster pack for branches in Scotland

Welsh language posters

You will find "closed on..." and "open on..." posters as part of these packs. We've also included an Easter Opening times poster for those branches who may have different opening hours over the Easter weekend.

If you require a poster with a different date made up (e.g. for Local holidays in Scotland), please comment below and these will be added to this page.

We know that some branches may choose to open on specific bank holidays, so you will also find a generic poster which says your branch is open. Please choose the correct poster to display for the Bank Holiday.

Branches in Scotland and Northern Ireland
We have included a specific poster for the specific bank holidays in Scotland and N Ireland.

Main and Local branches
For Local Post Office branches, your Post Office should be open if your retail business is open on a Bank Holiday.

If you are a Main Post Office branch, you are contracted to open your Post Office at the combined retail counter a during your retail business opening hours on a Bank Holiday.

If you currently do not have access to the safe on Bank Holidays and have not made prior arrangements then you will not be able to access the safe to retrieve the stock to trade.

Please note: There will be a cost to adjust the safe timers depending on the type installed at your branch. If costs are incurred, (safes with keypads located on the front of safe door), these must be met by the postmaster. We ask that you give 10 days’ notice, as if this is the case, it will involve an engineer visit to make the changes at
the start and end of the extended opening period.
