One of the company”s two East Brunswick stores, located on Racetrack Road and employing 75 people, will be shuttered, along with a 68-employee store in Saddle Brook, says Ron DeFeo, a Home Depot spokesman.
The closings, part of a 15-store national elimination that resulted from a performance review, will leave New Jersey with 65 Home Depot locations, says DeFeo. The company will try to place “as many employees as possible” with other Home Depot stores, he adds. The company”s stock opened today at $30.40, up from $29.87 at yesterday”s close.
