STREAMLINED PROCESS - SAME DAY APPROVAL
Florida Medical Cannabis Clinic has an efficient system for qualified patients to obtain their Florida Medical Marijuana Registry Card and certification. Our pricing reflects time spent with our healthcare team, the State required documentation, and medication orders scheduled through your next follow-up visit. We do not charge extra for smokable recommendations, exception requests (RFE), or recommendation changes in between appointments.
Step 1:
Initial Evaluation
Call 352-616-9892 option 1 or book online to schedule an Initial Evaluation appointment.
Once scheduled, we will email you a link and password to complete your patient intake forms. These must be completed at least 48 hours PRIOR to your appointment.
What does the Initial Evaluation include?
The initial exam will take approximately 1 hour. This includes time spent with our physician and patient educator. You'll learn about the Florida Medical Cannabis program and how to use cannabis as a medicine. Dr. Scott will conduct the State required health history and exam. We'll review your health goals and discuss dosing and cannabis delivery routes. We will also issue your certification and enter your 210-day orders into the state registry system. If needed, we’ll assist you with completing the State application described in the next step.
All FMCC patients have access to our patient resource hub to assist you with your long-term cannabis care.
Cost: $250
$50 discount for veterans (and spouses), first responders, healthcare professionals, educators, and patients transferring from another cannabis physician.
Step 2:
Apply for MMUR Card
After seeing the physician for a certification exam, you must complete the online Medical Marijuana Use Registry Card application and pay the required fee ($77.75).
Permanent residents of Florida with a valid and current Florida-issued Driver’s License will receive instant approval of their application. Seasonal residents must upload a passport photo & 2 forms of proof of residency to complete the application. If you are a seasonal resident, have a State ID instead of a Driver’s License, or are a retired law enforcement, parole officer, or another person whose address has been redacted from the DMV your application will take 5-10 business days to process.
Once the application is approved, a temporary ID card will be issued to the patient/caregiver via email. A patient/caregiver may purchase medication with a temporary card and a government-issued ID until the physical card arrives by mail.

SteP 3:
Obtain Medicine
Once approved you can shop at the MMTCs (dispensaries) of your choosing. A list of qualified MMTCs can be found here. There are multiple dispensaries in our service areas, and many companies offer delivery.
Step 4:
Follow Up Appointments
Every 6-7 months we’ll see you for a follow-up recertification exam. This can be performed via telehealth. We’ll issue a new set of 210-day orders and submit any applicable state-required documentation. We’ll discuss your progress and help you make any necessary adjustments to your cannabis medicine.
